This is a quote from the 16th verse of the hymn Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) possibly the worlds third most well known hymn in Gregorian chant after the forms of the Agnus Dei and Kyrie. It was featured in Boondocks Saints both to add legitimacy that they were on a quest from God and of the gun dealer as IRA as this quote from the Hymn is engrained Irish Catholic Culture and superstition. Also it is one of the most quoted lines of Dies Irae as it is imploring Gods forgiveness and is among the more hope-filled in the poem.
